East of England Co-op Funeral Services to host an evening of entertainment in aid of Norfolk charity, Nelson’s Journey

The East of England Co-op Cromer funeral branch is calling on the local community to join them for a quiz night on 19 October 2018, in aid of children’s bereavement support charity Nelson’s Journey.

Supported by the Cliftonville Hotel, and to be held in the hotel’s function room, the event promises to be a fun evening of live music, entertainment and prizes.

Organised by local Funeral Arranger Mary Wilson, there will be live music from Jason McGinty, one of the funeral directors at the East of England Co-op’s Cromer branch. Whilst the ‘games master’ for the evening will be entertainer Pat Nearney, aka “The Norfolk Nut”, who has kindly donated his time.

This year marks Nelson’s Journeys’ twentieth anniversary. To celebrate the landmark occasion, twenty local businesses, including the East of England Co-op Funeral Services, pledged to raise a total of £20,000.

Rob Head from the East of England Co-op Funeral Services, said: “We’ve been proud supporters of Nelson’s Journey for a number of years and are looking forward to bringing the community together to raise funds for this great cause, who have helped bring back smiles to so many bereaved children across Norfolk.”

The team at the Cromer funeral branch is inviting people to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. The Friday night event begins at 7.30pm and is open to everyone with tables costing £10 each for up to six people.

For more information on the event and to book a table contact Mary Wilson on 01263 422130, or call into the branch at 11 Garden Street, open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
