You may be in the midst of a long summer holiday, trying desperately to find activities to amuse the children.
Warwick Castle has been a fantastically entertaining day out for all the family for many years, but now you can even stay there for a getaway that gives you some alone time with your partner, as well as ensuring the kids are kept busy throughout.

Warwick Castle has unveiled the perfect solution for couples looking to ‘re-ig-knight’ the spark in their relationship with a new, upscale ‘Date Knight’ package: a magical sleepover for all the family – with a romantic breakaway evening for the parents.

Combining the best of both worlds – adult-only time for busy parents to reconnect with each other, and quality family ‘together’ time – the new package is available to guests staying at the new Knight’s Village which opened at the Castle at the beginning of last month.

After a fun day exploring Warwick Castle with its shows and attractions, parents needn’t feel guilty about taking advantage of the Knight’s Village babysitting service, to escape for a romantic evening fit for a king and queen.

Dads get to unleash their inner knight in shining armour by whisking their beloved to the top of the 14th Century Guy’s Tower for al fresco champagne and canapés. An opera singer, based in the battlements below, will set the scene for a fairytale evening of romance as couples enjoy breathtaking scenery whilst the sun sets over the Warwickshire countryside.

A ‘de-knight-ful’ four-course dinner with wine awaits in The State Dining Room, an exclusive location that has played host to Royal visits. A dedicated waiter will be on hand to ensure the couple feel extra special. After dinner drinks, tea and coffee and petit fours will be served in another of the Castle’s State Rooms.

Safe in the knowledge that the children will be tucked up in bed, parents are free to enjoy the romantic five-minute stroll through the Castle Estate to their Knight’s Village lodge.  Their own spacious bedroom suite awaits them in their Knight’s Lodge, nestled in a peaceful woodland glade on the banks of the River Avon.

Knights Lodges offer mediaeval-style accommodation over two storeys. The mezzanine level, with impressive views over the river, features a double bedroom suite. There are two further bedrooms with bunk beds, an open plan lounge, wet room and private terrace. Each lodge can accommodate up to seven guests.

All Knight’s Village guests enjoy two days’ entry to the Castle’s attractions, mediaeval themed evening entertainment, breakfast and two-days parking, included in the price.

The ‘Date Knight’ package costs from £999 for one night based on a family of two adults and up to five children, sharing a Knight’s Lodge.
