Aldeburgh Festival

One of Europe’s leading classical music festivals, the Aldeburgh Festival mixes international orchestras, chamber performers, opera and work by leading contemporary visual artists with a unique sense of place. It is worth a visit for the music, art and vibrant fringe programme and also for the Suffolk coast’s stunning natural backdrop of reeds, water and big skies. In 2015 the Aldeburgh Festival also spreads its wings and brings a mystery event to a location in central Ipswich. The festival is able to offer fine dining with entertainment overlooking the reed beds as well as champagne receptions throughout the day.

Latitude Festival

Red Rooster Festival

5th -7th June 2015

The Red Rooster festival is set in the idyllic private grounds of Euston Hall and is an event inspired by the sounds and aroma’s of America’s Deep South Suffolks R&B and Blues. Acts such as CW Stoneking, Son of Dave, Dollar Bill and The Rumble will be making appearances throughout the festival. Alongside the main and smaller stages the Red Rooster will be hosting campfires under the stars. The event is able to offer exclusive use of Lotus Belle Tents. They can sleep up to 4 people and contain all the romantic charm of a bell tent but the space of a yurt. Lotus Belles are made from the most luxurious white cotton canvas and are shaped like a Hershey’s Kiss!  Each tent is lined with a shag pile carpet and is roomy enough to stand up all throughout the interior, even for the tallest of campers. All in all, they make for a much more comfortable camping experience. Also available are Yurts and Squrts, which are an ideal 2-person accommodation! They come fully fitted watertight groundsheet, covered with cosy rugs, a scattering of cushions, a small handmade table and tea light lanterns.

Secret Garden Party Festival

Since 2003 the Secret Garden Party has strived to create an atmosphere that encourages fun, friendliness, creativity and participation and aims to connect with a new generation of festivalgoers who are seeking that magical immersive experience. Maverick Festival

The Maverick Festival celebrates its eighth birthday with the most extensive and exciting lineup in its history. The three-day event will play host to five stages indoors and out, including the return of the Sweet Home Alabama stage, which this year will showcase amongst others, three sweet hearts of Alabama – Hannah Aldridge, Lisa Mills and Debbie Bond. The festival will feature a spacious campsite, bell tent meadow as well as a carefully selected range of delicious food stands catering to meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The campsite offers two exclusive ways to camp: you can either stay in Mint Meadow in one of their bell tents that are pre-erected in a secluded area a couple of minutes walk away from the show-grounds. Alternatively there are Tipi’s on offer. These are located in there own private meadow and will be for guest’s exclusive use with a loo and communal BBQ area. They all come with 4 sleeping mats and a chimenea, a log-burning stove, which takes the edge off those chilly nights and gives them a glow of authenticity.

Maui Waui Festival

4-6th September 2015

Dust off your glad rags and get your dancing shoes on, there’s a musical phenomenon swinging into town. The Maui Waui festival is now coming into its third year and is a fusion of old and new, 1920’s + 30’s jive and swing blended with rhythmic tunes and bouncy beats. The weekend aims to offer music from all over the world with bands ranging from Electro Swing, Folk Country, and Gypsy Swing to Reggae and Dance. Entertainment comes in the form of surprise acts that throughout the day will wander the site on stilts and bikes alongside impromptu bands that will play throughout the day. As night falls the entertainment is set to liven up, as four stages will present a full circus, stalls, bars and a wide selection of food.
