It’s a double celebration for George Ezra this week as his single ‘Shotgun’ hits the number one spot on the official UK singles chart, and his massive open-air headline show at Newmarket Nights is now sold out.

Reaching the number one spot for the first time having had prior singles ‘Budapest’ and ‘Paradise‘ rising to the number three and number two spots respectively, ‘Shotgun’ has solidified itself as a certified summer hit that thousands of lucky fans will hear when he headlines the course on 17th August.

General admission may be sold out but limited hospitality is still available. Please visit http://newmarket.thejockeyclub.co.uk/ for more information.

Saf Chowdhury, Director of Concerts & Marketing – The Jockey Club Live said:
‘We are delighted both George Ezra and Craig David have sold out. There’s no better way to spend a summer’s evening than on the July course with some of the biggest chart names.  We cannot wait to welcome Plan B, The Magic of Motown and Nile Rodgers & Chic plus The Vamps at Summer Saturday Live over the next two months. As reflected in this latest sell-out, tickets for the season are selling fast, so would urge fans to buy soon to avoid disappointment.’

Open-air concerts from The Jockey Club Live offer a live music experience unlike any other. Alongside show-stopping headlining performances in the informal, relaxed and historic open-air settings of the courses, the action kicks off earlier in the day with a six race card – giving fans the chance to witness powerful equine athletes who are stars in their own right, and enjoy the thrilling drama and spectacle of them racing for glory.
