Weddings no longer need to be one day occasions; for those wanting something extra special Somerleyton Hall hosts weekend-long celebrations and can accommodate up to 32 sleeping guests with space for more to join you on the day.

 

Your weekend starts with afternoon tea on Friday and a tour of the magnificent Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, giving you and your guests time to settle in to your sumptuous home-from-home for the weekend.

 

Saturday is the big day. To make your wedding extra special Somerleyton Hall’s wedding planner Jude Pontais can help you plan and deliver a myriad of experiences in keeping with a full country house wedding. You’ll arrive in style, and the Jude will work with you to set the scene for what will be the most stylish and exclusive wedding.

 

Up to 100 seated guests can be accommodated at the ceremony – talk to the Somerleyton Hall wedding designers for inspiring ideas and opportunities to make the day exactly as you’d like.

 

At any point throughout your wedding weekend Somerleyton Hall can host a wide variety of activities allowing you to make the most of the estate. From water sports on the lake to traditional pursuits like fishing and shooting, you and your guests will soon get a taste of real country life. And of course children of all ages love getting lost in Somerleyton’s maze.

 

Everything is complemented by a range of drinking and dining options to suit all tastes.

Bruisyard Hall

Bruisyard Hall itself was built in 1354 and has been in the Rous family since 1611. It was renovated last year and now serves as self-catering accommodation for the wedding party. Bruisyard Barn dates back to 15th and 16th century and was renovated into an events venue in 2011. Both combine traditional elegance with modern luxury.
Bruisyard Hall offer a personal service from beginning to end in order for you to have the most relaxing and seamless lead up, wedding day and weekend. Three nights exclusive use ensures you really get the most out of your wedding weekend, whether it’s filled with activities or simply enjoying the company of your friends and family.
For intimate affairs, the hall can accommodate 30 people for a ceremony and 26 dining and Bruisyard Barn can hold up to 140 for ceremonies and dining. With a marquee extension at the barn they can hold up to 200 for ceremonies and 250 seated. For guest staying over the hall has 10 bedrooms to sleep 20 and the barn has two bedrooms to sleep four.
Events manager, Laura, is on hand for anything and everything, big or small, to ensure a smooth running. Bruisyard Hall also have an in house concierge who can assist with booking activities for your stay as well as any additional accommodation and travel arrangements for your other guests. They are both on hand in the lead up, and one will always be there for your coordination on the day.

 

Bruisyard Hall offer exclusive use of the hall and barn on weekends for £11,000. This includes three nights accommodation for 24 guests, exclusive use of the 700 acre estate and use of Bruisyard Barn for the wedding day.
