At this time of year the endless rich food and late nights takes its toll on our skin. To combat this, we were excited to try La Roche-Posay’s Post-Party Skin Rescue products.

Aiming to combat the signs of dehydration, irritation and blemishes, La Roche-Posay products have been recommended by dermatologists worldwide. Claiming to help your skin get back to glowing health, I put the Micellar Water and Ultra Overnight Cream to the test.

Micellar waters are a current beauty trend due to the way they eliminate impurities in the skin and can be used as a makeup remover. La Roche-Posay Micellar Water, £11, is a cleanser that wipes away a full face of festive makeup. With a physiological pH and enriched with La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, I felt that the cleanser enhanced my skin, rather than leaving it feeling dry like some other cleaners can do. My skin was soothed after using it, rather than striped and was ready for the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Overnight Cream, £17.50.

My skin is incredibly dry, but also can break out in blemishes if I use a rich night cream. The La Roche-Posay cream was just the right blend of nourishing, without being so heavy that I ended up with spots. With a powerful antioxidant with soothing ingredients, my skin did feel and look less dry and I also used the product again in the morning before applying my foundation for added moisture throughout the day.

After two weeks of using the products, I must admit that I would purchase them again as I’ve noticed the pores on my nose and cheeks look smaller and less visible, as well as my skin being hydrated and ready for the busy post-christmas days ahead.
